Ever give your students a word problem and you instantly get push back? Well this word problem blends in the current Superhero craze mixed with an abstract word problem that will have students engaged in the activity.

The purpose of the problem is to have students read a real world problem where an object must travel to a specific point in a 3-dimensional space, a rectangular prism, but must not exceed a specified distance given the criteria that the object must stay along the sides of the prism.

Along the way, students will help build the full stack of the problem solving process by watching a video, asking questions, understanding a situation, and in the end solve a word problem where some data is relevant and students must critically think about what to use to solve the problem.
