Users want to get the fastest help possible when experiencing technical difficulties. Self-help articles empower the user and provide immediate, simple solutions to common technical problems. This ETP discusses what makes a useful and effective self-help document. A sample template is included in this ETP. The template includes what content is needed, the look and feel of the content as well as the types of information to include and what not to include. This ETP presupposes the user has a structure in place that includes facilities for delivery of self-help documentation.
