Becoming An Amazing Public Speaker

This lesson is part of a unit in which students learn about various STEM careers. This lesson in particular exposes students to the features of a good presentation--mostly focusing on the delivery aspect. Students watch video clips about strong and weak presentations, read texts explaining characteristics of strong presentations with rationales, and have two "mini-presentations" in small groups where they give and receive feedback. The lesson ends with each student giving a short presentation on their own about a STEM career of the students’ choice, applying the feedback they received. The final presentation will be evaluated by the teacher.
