The Gratta group is working on building a detector for neutrino interactions in liquid xenon.  This phase of the project involves designing, building and testing a prototype detector as a proof-of-concept.  My ETP will similarly involve students in a multi-part engineering project that enables them to better understand engineering design, including measurable objectives, constraints, budgets, deadlines, and collaboration between groups working on various parts of a complex system.
