A Day in the Life of a Data Scientist

A Day in the Life of a Data Scientist is a short term project appropriate for any advisory space that has a college and career focus. Students will learn about non-traditional career paths such as: data scientists, machine learning engineers, program managers, and executive positions. The lesson includes warm up questions, introduction to Intuit, compilation career advice video (with a focus on BIPoC staff), exploration activity that showcases tech-focused career paths through pre-recorded Zoom interviews, Q&A portion with an Intuit staff member, and an exit ticket asking students what were the main messages they took away from this lesson through the medium of Peardeck.
