Developing and Maintaing Good Nutritional Habits

The purpose of this Educational Transfer Plan is for my 6th grade, physical education students to learn about nutrition, make healthier eating choices, and reflect about their daily food and beverage intake patterns. Students for 3 continuous days, will keep a food/beverage consumption log, in a notebook, and then transfer their data onto Google Sheets. Students will look for patterns that he/she is not eating enough fresh fruits and vegetables, and that he/she is eating and/or consuming too many sugary beverages and/or foods, then the student will write about the incremental, nutritional steps that he/she will take to improve that pattern. Moreover, the connection of this nutritional lesson to my IISME Fellowship at CISCO, is how to systematically collect data and information, and synthesize the data to see trends and patterns to make better decisions.
