This Education Transfer Plan (ETP) will introduce biology students to evolution’s ability to create rich and complex structural and behavioral characteristics among a variety of species and how these special features of the natural world are inspiring engineers to design new materials and processes and devices to resolve important design problems for the 21st century. Students will learn more about biomimicry using short videos, brainstorming activities, research, a card matching game, and a modeling project.
