Organizing Data

Organization is an extremely valuable skill that is critical to the success of all responsible students. In addition to organizational skills, the ability to use basic computer programs like Microsoft Excel to make a spreadsheet for the purpose of analyzing, organizing and presenting data is a useful skill that can be utilized in any field of work, school, or for personal purposes. This is an introductory lesson for students to become familiar with Excel and organizing data into tables. This is a perfect lesson if students have no prior understanding of Excel and are able to operate a computer on the most basic level. This lesson can be extended or modified to your particular audience or grade level. Excel can be an incredibly useful tool for organization of data and presenting information. There are endless amounts of applications for this program and a it is great tool to become familiar with.
