Using evidence from informational texts and examples from companies such as MAAS Energy, Divert, Tracy Renewables, and Hilmar Cheese, students will brainstorm innovative ways to reduce food waste and conserve resources at school. As a culminating performance task, each group will develop and present a persuasive "Sustainability Pitch" that proposes a realistic solution for improving sustainability within their school or community.
