In this project, students will utilize industry-relevant data analysis skills to support their research project. Students will learn different statistical tools such as mean, standard deviation, and Student’s t-test to support their findings.
Fifth graders are curious about the world around them and use a lot of social media. Do students understand what their brain can do and how the use of social media or too much computer time can impact their brains and bodies?
Many science teachers have had the experience of students attempting to generate the “correct” data that they think the teacher wants. This unfortunately leads to a common practice of students copying data from others or even fabricating it themselves.
In the wake of COVID-19, the biggest challenge facing science classes is to figure out the best way to educate students in online science laboratory courses. Can science labs be taught online effectively?
Students growing up in today have little exposure to hands-on technologies that can help them to experientially understand the workings of the eye; yet, the eyes and an understanding of light (and how it moves) are essential to understanding many of today’s technologies.
The 6s standard represents safety, sustainability, standardize, straighten, sort, and shine. Lockheed Martin believes one of the most significant incentives to apply the 6s standard is cost savings. This ETP will bring the 6s model to my highschool biology classroom.
Nguyen Huynh and Darrell Steely worked with Guilio De Leo and Robin Elahi from Stanford’s Hopkins Marine Station to develop a Planetary Health Based lesson that enabled students to make the important connection between the health of the ocean and the health of humans.
Team Final Project: Code for Good. As CS students develop their programming skills, they also need to develop the awareness that programming can have a vital role in mitigating social concerns and improving life.
