In the "Magic Bean Water Race" experiment, students explore how different types of water affect plant growth by planting three bean seeds and watering them daily with purified water, tap water, and sugar water. Students make a prediction (hypothesis), observe the plants each day, and record their findings with drawings or charts. Through this hands-on activity, children are introduced to the steps of the scientific method in a fun and engaging way—asking a question, making a guess, testing it out, watching what happens, and learning from their results. The experiment helps young learners develop observation skills and understand what plants need to grow.
