The nature of science is more than students following a recipe of instructions in a laboratory experiment. Students are required to learn how scientists acquire knowledge through the process of scientific discovery. They learn by doing science as scientists behave in the lab.
Testing and analyzing the quality of water around the community, data is utilized to communicate with the community about water quality and what makes our water “safe.”
Students will explore cybersecurity and the vulnerabilities equity process (VEP) to learn how the government uses information acquired for cybersecurity purposes.
The Ignited summer fellowship at Stanford enabled me to jumpstart my knowledge and curriculum development towards developing autonomous vehicles control systems.
Students will use Python and a known algorithm to produce a solution using Linear Regression to predict an Artificial Intelligence (AI) solution in either Education, Music, Credit Card Fraud, or Sports.
Inspired by my work with cybersecurity company, Palo Alto Networks, this lesson centers on how data moves through networks. It touches on Newton’s discovery of the color spectrum, the capture of the German Enigma coding machine during World War II, cryptography, and modern ASCII code.
Students will identify parts of an electric vehicle, determine their various functions through a webquest, and then use these EV parts to write a script for the next cartoon episode… “Field Trip through the Electric Vehicle”
Students will explore how a battery works, build their own battery, and then compare and contrast technologies specific to electric vehicle batteries.
