Antenna Rotator Gearing
Students will make observations and inferences about different gear ratios and types of gears. Students will rotate through different stations where they will first make individual observations and record them.
Ramp it UP!
Ramps are everywhere! Ratios and proportions are used everywhere in the real world, and at Sequoia High School, wheelchair ramps are a clear example of the importance of ratios. Students will interact with various code.org animations, all of which are dealing with some type of ramp.

My school uses blended learning and the SunBay unit implemented and exemplified by this ETP is a blended learning unit. This SunBay software simulation unit will be the basis for my class’ entire unit on Rates, Ratios and Proportions. It will replace the unit used cover this topic last year.
