Prezi This: Making Digital Presentations

It is beneficial for students to learn how to create and use effective tools to communicate and convey information to inform, persuade or entertain even as early as 3rd Grade. This ETP will teach students how to create digital presentations that are engaging and effective in communicating content. The digital presentation tool that will be used in the classroom will be Prezi, one that is often used in industry presentations and TED talks. For this activity, students will be put in collaborative groups of four. They will work together to plan and create a storyboard, choose appropriate graphics and videos, and present to the class. Through collaboration, students will create a digital presentation that will showcase a biome, its description and features, an animal, and a plant native to the chosen biome. Students will be able to choose from the following: tundra, deserts, wetlands, rainforest, ocean and grasslands. This ETP digital presentation lesson may be applicable to any content in Language Arts, Science, Social Studies and STEM subjects.
