Code Collab

This is a two-day Makerspace lesson in which students work in teams to create JavaScript apps using snippets of code. Using a custom-designed app, each student will be given random snippets of code to choose from. They then must work with their group to decide which snippets will result in a working application when combined. Each snippet pertains to a theme and functionality. To make a successful application, groups must combine snippets with different functionalities while maintaining a common theme. Groups will compete against one another to see which group made the most successful applications. This will be followed by self evaluations, peer evaluations, and a class reflection where groups discuss and share what collaboration strategies were and were not successful.
