In my fellowship at Facebook I am learning about crafting a retail communications plan for the new Meta Store that the company has built as a model on their Reality Labs campus. I am currently analyzing their current communications strategy and gathering feedback and proposed solutions from interviews with managers at the store and within Meta. I am learning about planning out the communication timing, cadence and message structure.
In this ETP students will craft a series of production documents that will measure their progress in the project. They will work in groups to craft a pitch to present to the class. After getting feedback and final approval groups will move onto crafting scripts and shot lists that will inform them on what they need to create for their final video. To tie into what I have learned at Meta during my fellowship, students will do mock interviews with each other in practice interview techniques. Students will write a list of interview questions that they will use later when they record them. The final deliverable project will result in a completed 3-4 minute documentary that includes the interviews that the students planned during pre-production of the documentary.
