The goal of this ETP is to engage students in an engineering experience much like the engineers at Synopsys go through.
Computer science students will learn about the following: 1)The importance of software and web software quality testing and 2)The importance and usage of two types of tools for analyzing and testing websites which include type A tools such as FireFly with Firepath on the Firefox browser, or the G
Effective collaboration and communication is a key element to any workplace. This ETP will address developing and implementing technology to streamline professional norms and collaboration during weekly Professional Development meetings in the 7th grade team of educators.
In Engineering 115 we will study how to create title blocks with attributes. We will learn how to create a Layout or paper space. We will also learn how to place within the layout a view port to include in the model. We will adjust the scaling factor to reflect the actual scale of the model.
Students will design a method to promote heat loss from an aluminum can full of hot water and test modifications to their design. Modelled on removing excess heat from electronic components, the lab tests different methods of removing heat and meets the NGSS engineering standards.
The goal of the Education Transfer Plan (ETP) is to safely engage students in hands-on practical engineering experiences while building parts. Targeting 11-12th grade students in the International Baccalaureate Design Technology unit on manufacturing processes.
The new NGSS focusses on student discovery and adding engineering strategies to the science curriculum.
The goal of this lesson is to introduce blended learning and digital media into the social studies classroom.
This lesson is constructed to help students see the importance of physical, chemical and biological attributes in the removal of contaminants from the environment. Students will design, construct and run experiments on the filtration of a known pollutant, nitrate, from water.
