The art of learning a new computer programming language is similar to the art of learning a new language. Each language has its unique structure and syntax, but also similarities that make learning a new language easier. In this lesson, students are given a script written in Snap!
The purpose of this ETP is to develop an open-ended process for students to learn physics and coding in python. This process will include four steps. The first step will be to learn the physics concepts by direct instruction: given the principles, examples and exercises.

Ramps are everywhere! Ratios and proportions are used everywhere in the real world, and at Sequoia High School, wheelchair ramps are a clear example of the importance of ratios. Students will interact with various code.org animations, all of which are dealing with some type of ramp.
