This ETP will focus on students learning about the statistics of Cardiovascular Disease (or Heart Disease), which is the leading global cause of death. They will be interpreting real statistical data about Cardiovascular Disease looking at different factors, like age, race, and ethnicity.
Unclogging Artery is an engineering project that challenges students to develop a device to treat coronary heart disease. Students will follow the design process and record their actions and reflections in an Engineering Notebook.
Biotechnology is a broad unit in Biology which has the opportunity to captivate students with hands on activities and real world connections as well as allow students to discover new career opportunities in this new trench in 21st century science.
