It’s the 21st century! Show your students that they can be a graphic designer for the tech industry too! In this ETP, Students will develop critical thinking, problem-solving, and creativity skills beyond what they imagined.
In this semester-long elective using activities created by SEMI High Tech U, students will explore diverse education and career pathways related to high tech industries with a focus on semiconductors. In the course students will build professional skills, personal skills and make connections.
The goal of my ETP is for my students to work collaboratively to design an arrangement of solar cells that produces the most current.
Traditionally, the etching of silicon wafers is a guess and check process- the manufactures guess the depth of the features for a given design, produce the wafer, and check if the process was successful. This process of nanomanufacturing is wasteful.
Students learn the importance of semiconductors in their lives. They observe through a laboratory experience how charged materials affect the voltage output of a semiconductor.
