In order to make informed decisions, students must know how to properly analyze and interpret data. This is one of the main learning goals in my physics classes.
Complex organizations like Lockheed Martin gather large amounts of data from various sources. While data collection has been automated, data analysis and communication still requires human capital.
In this lesson students develop and execute a promotional plan for a business they will develop in this course. Students will engage in one of two businesses the course will offer: either a screen-printing service or a laser cutting and etching service.
This lesson will give students the opportunity to use the functionalities of Microsoft Excel to help them in their analysis of a real data set, ranging from sports to health to finance.
