The "From Waves to Wellness: Exploring Health Equity through Medical Imaging Physics" ETP is a three-day lesson designed for high school physics classes.
Health inequities are differences in health status between socially advantaged and less socially advantaged groups. These advantages are caused by systemic differences and barriers which lead to different health outcomes.
Nguyen Huynh and Darrell Steely worked with Guilio De Leo and Robin Elahi from Stanford’s Hopkins Marine Station to develop a Planetary Health Based lesson that enabled students to make the important connection between the health of the ocean and the health of humans.
How can human-caused changes to the environment impact human health? This ETP was inspired by the research from Susanne Sokolow and Giulio De Leo along with other members of the De Leo Lab.
The purpose of this Educational Transfer Plan is for my 6th grade, physical education students to learn about nutrition, make healthier eating choices, and reflect about their daily food and beverage intake patterns.
Students will use “When Stroke Strikes” to learn about the mechanisms of stroke, and why strokes are a health threat.
