My ETP is hands-on Science Unit (5 Lessons-All About Water ) that will help students develop a greater understanding, deeper knowledge and appreciation of water and its integral part of life on this planet.
Often in the science classroom, I have students create and give a presentation that highlights what they learned about a topic.
The goal of this ETP is to engage students in an engineering experience much like the engineers at Synopsys go through.
This ETP teaches you how to establish a student-run Tech Squad to address common technology-related issues across campus. Students will be trained in how to identify and fix low-level problems in a respectful, helpful way.
The goal of this ETP is to introduce and practice the engineering design process in a fun and high interest manner: by designing a balloon “rocket” that uses a straw and various types of string to travel a distance in the fastest possible time.
Students will create a water bottle rocket while working collaboratively in groups. The groups will be asked to collect and analyze data and then improve upon their design. After a further launch they will then present their findings and data in a classroom presentation.
In this ETP, students will be placed into five different groups. In each group, students will be given engineer roles and they will need to collaborate in order to meet the needs of their customer base. Each group will receive a base model of a Raft.
Students will communicate and collaborate on “How to Do/Create Something.” They will learn how to effectively communicate, plan, organize, evaluate, synthesize, and publish their project through writing and digitally.
The goal of this ETP is to introduce and practice the engineering design process in a fun and high interest manner: by designing a board game which will help reinforce previously taught content.
